To ensure the stability of the image, Mojo Lens also has a special accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer built in so that the interface can keep track of the eye's movement.

Finally, Mojo Lens has a proprietary motion-sensing algorithm that allows the wearer to control the interface through the eye, such as opening/closing applications, switching between interfaces, and so on.

However, there are still some improvements to be made to the prototype, with two core points.

The screen can only display monochrome, more colorful and complex images, but still need to continue to improve.

The AR glasses are not yet a standalone hardware device, but need to be connected to a device similar to a neck massager, essentially a "contact lens" on the surface of the eye, which is now just a display role.

But Mojo Vision's senior vice president of product Steven Sinclair (Steve Sinclair) also said that the future may be integrated into the computing unit in the glasses.

This is an overview of the AR contact lens prototype, and the developer behind it, Mojo Vision, needs to know about it.

Who is Mojo Vision?

Publicly available information shows that Mojo Vision, founded by Drew Perkins in 2015 and based in Saratoga, California, is an AR glasses manufacturer.

Prior to founding Mojo Vision, Perkins had also founded several companies, mostly focused on telecommunications and communications. The reason for setting up Mojo Vision was a bit of a surprise.

In 2012, Perkins was suffering from cataracts and set up Mojo Vision to save his vision.

And Mojo Vision's products were the first to be used in the medical field because of this.

In the capital market, Mojo Vision has raised four rounds of financing since its inception, with a cumulative funding amount of $205 million, as detailed below.

November 2018, Series A funding of $50 million, with investors including Shanda Network, Khosla Ventures,, NEA,, Fusion Fund,, Liberty Global Ventures,, 8VC, Dolby Family Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, and Open Field Capital.
