Samsung showed off its latest Odyssey OLED G8 fish screen monitor at IFA2022 and announced that it will be available in the fourth quarter of this year at a price yet to be announced.
Samsung combined its OLED and quantum dot technology to create this panel with a 34-inch 21:9 ratio, 1800R curvature, 3440x1440 resolution, and 175Hz maximum refresh rate. In addition, Samsung's Odyssey OLED display features 10 bit color support, peak brightness of up to 1000 nits and a GtG response time of 0.1 ms.
Samsung says the 34-inch Odyssey OLED G8 is 3.9 mm at its thinnest part and features a metal frame design. In terms of ports, the Odyssey OLED G8 features Micro HDMI (2.1), Mini DP (1.4) and USB-C ports for multiple connections, as well as 5W stereo speakers.
Previously, Alien listed a monitor with the same panel as the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8, model AW3423DW, for an initial $12,999.
