Samsung Receives About 20 Million More Apple iPhone 14 Series Panels as Sales Exceed Expectations

Apple held a new launch event and officially released the iPhone 14 series phones with a starting price of $5,999. After Apple first opened the iPhone 14 series for pre-order, Apple's website was once unable to confirm the purchase and the webpage crashed due to the number of users buying the new phone. Currently, if you want to buy the Apple iPhone 14 Pro on the official website, you have to wait at least 1 month, which shows the high sales of the Apple iPhone 14 series.

According to SAMMOBILE today, the sales of Apple's iPhone 14 Pro series have exceeded Apple's expectations and more LTPO OLED panels are now being ordered from Samsung, according to a report by THEELE. Previously, Samsung was expected to produce 130 million OLED panels for the iPhone, and that number has now risen to 149 million, meaning Samsung has received about 20 million more orders for Apple's iPhone 14 series panels.

To meet Apple's demand, Samsung has ordered more equipment to manufacture iPhone panels from upstream suppliers such as AP Systems and Philoptics, and plans to manufacture iPhone panels at its factory in Vietnam.

In the past three months, Apple has ordered more than 15 million iPhone 14 series panels. Throughout June and August, Samsung managed to fulfill up to 82 percent of its iPhone 14 series panel orders. As of the end of August, Samsung was the only supplier of iPhone 14 Pro Max panels to Apple.
