Sales Tax Exemption offers a limited-time opportunity for customers to purchase select Apple products in the online store or at the Apple Retail Store without paying sales tax. Eligible products and price restrictions vary by state, and full details are listed on the official Apple website. Apple indicates that tax savings may not appear at checkout, but will be reflected on the final receipt.

Depending on the state, eligible Apple products may include peripherals such as the Mac, iPad, iPhone or Apple Pencil and Studio Display.

Florida's sales tax exemption begins this Monday and runs through August 7, while many other states offer sales tax exemptions during the first week of August. Apple's website provides a complete list of sales tax exemption dates for each state.

The sales tax exemption is especially beneficial to the student population because the tax savings can be combined with Apple's ongoing back-to-school season promotion, which offers students who purchase an eligible Mac or iPad up to $150 in Apple gift cards, as well as a 20 percent discount on the AppleCare+ program. Apple also offers educational discounts for students on select purchases.
