Sources say Apple will announce a new high-end Apple Watch Pro at its "Far Out" event on September 8. The new watch is rumored to have a more rugged design, possibly with a flat display and a redesigned case with a larger 1.99-inch display that measures between 47mm and 48mm.

According to the microblogger @UnclePan Uncle Pan, this year there is a watch with a screen size of 47mm / 48mm, and the strap is common with the old model, but the new strap will be wider, so it can be seen that the probability of square will be larger. In addition the watch screen size is diagonal size, is possible to do accessories common.

While Apple has been slowly increasing the size of the Apple Watch over the years, it still maintains compatibility with older Apple Watch bands. Backward compatibility allows customers to upgrade their Apple Watch and continue to use their existing band without being forced to buy a new one.

The new Apple Watch Pro is expected to be aimed at athletes and customers who need a rugged watch. With that in mind, Apple may choose to offer a new line of Apple Watch bands designed for professional athletes that work with the Apple Watch Pro.

Apple is also expected to release the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch SE 2. The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to maintain the same design as the Series 7, but with improved battery life and a new body temperature sensor.
