Apple to upgrade HomePod / mini, also working on kitchen device that combines iPad, speaker and robotic arm, sources say

Apple is preparing to upgrade HomePod mini with the aim of further capturing the home device market. early 2023, Apple is also preparing to upgrade the full-size HomePod.

The HomePod Mini was released in October 2020, and there was widespread speculation in the press that the device upgrade would not feature any major highlights.

The HomePod was discontinued in March 2021, but Apple now intends to revive it. The upgraded HomePod is said to feature an S8 processor and possibly a multi-touch display on top.
