Shell Shell Ride electric scooter launched: approximately 32 km range, $549.99
Shell, a company known for selling gasoline, is now trying its hand at new energy with the launch of its licensed Shell Ride electric scooter, priced at $549.99 (about $3,723.43).
The electric scooter, model SR-5S, has a range of 20 miles (about 32.19 km) and a speed of 15 miles (about 24.14 km) per hour.
The company is also preparing a slower, smaller scooter (SR-4S) and a more feature-rich scooter with a removable battery pack (SR-6S), priced at $499.99 (about $3,384.93) and $799.99 (about $5,415.93), respectively.
The Shell Ride electric bike is also in the pipeline, priced between $1,199.99 (approximately RMB 8123.93) and $1,899.99 (approximately RMB 12,862.93).
In addition to the Shell Ride, Shell has licensed its trademarks on other consumer electronics products, such as portable mobile power and lead-acid battery chargers.
