The Threadripper PRO 5995WX is described as a 64-core CPU based on the Zen3 architecture, retailing for $6,499 (about $43,933.24). The overclock uses 128GB of DDR4-3200 memory, LN2 CPU cooling, and a GeForce GT 640 graphics card.

After overclocking to 5.15GHz, the Threadripper 5995WX CPU scored 116142 points in the Cinebench R23 multi-threaded test, which is the highest score in the current HWBOT rankings, surpassing the previous world record of 105170 points for the 3990X.

As previously reported by IT House, AMD has now announced that the Threadripper PRO 5000 WX series processors will be available at system integrators worldwide starting in July 2022, with availability to the DIY community expected later this year.

AMD has now unified the Threadripper and Threadripper PRO product lines for enthusiasts and content creators, with only the Threadripper PRO platform going forward. This also means that all Threadripper processors will natively offer: 128 PCIe Gen 4 lanes, 8 lanes of UDIMM and RDIMM memory, massive L3 cache, and the security and manageability features common to Ryzen PRO processors.
