Dell didn't give a reason behind the discontinuation of support for either app, but according to Windows Central, Intel acquired Screenovate, the company behind Mobile Connect, in 2021, and at CES 2022 it also showed off a new way for PCs to work with Android, iPhone and smartwatches. This feature will be available on Intel EVO devices at the end of the year, which means Mobile Connect won't really go away.

It is worth mentioning that Microsoft also has a similar application called Phone Link (formerly known as Your Phone), Phone Link can also complete the operation of Mobile Connect, but the biggest difference between these two applications is that Phone Link does not support iPhone phones, while Mobile Connect does.
