Apple iPhone's built-in music recognition fully supports syncing with the Shazam Music God search app

Since the release of iOS 14.2 in 2020, Apple's iPhone has had music recognition built into the Control Center powered by Shazam. This follows small but useful upgrades in iOS 16 and the iOS 15.6 Beta. Songs obtained through Music Recognition in the iPhone Control Center are eventually synced with the Shazam app.

And now, Shazam Music Search has received a version 15.14 update that now allows songs identified through Music Recognition in Control Center to be synced to the Shazam app.

Haven't tried it yet? This feature allows you to easily and quickly recognize music played in other apps, even with headphones on. Add "Music Recognition" to Settings > Control Center and you're ready to go.

To use Shazam Music Search, the device must have iOS 14.0, iPadOS 14.0 or later.

Apple acquired Shazam Music Search for $400 million in 2018 and has been steadily improving the service since then, including by removing ads from the app. in September 2021, Apple announced that Music Recognition in Control Center has accumulated more than 1 billion recognitions on iPhone and iPad since its launch.
