NETGEAR Introduces Nighthawk A8000, the First Wi-Fi 6E USB 3.0 Wireless Network Card
By 22 Sep,2022
Netgear has now launched a USB network card, the Nighthawk AXE3000 WiFi 6E USB 3.0 Adapter (A8000), which sells for $89.99 (about $634.43) in the U.S. It supports 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands, and supports Wi-Fi 6E.
Although the A8000 supports the 6GHz band, it actually only has a maximum bandwidth of 1200 Mbps, the 5GHz also has a maximum of 1200 Mbps, and the 2.4 GHz has a maximum of 600 Mbps for older network hardware.
It features a flip-top design USB dock that looks quite interesting.
It's worth noting that only Windows 11 currently supports the 6GHz band, so if you're using a macOS or Windows 10 PC, then the A8000 may not be quite right for you.
