Tata Tiago EV to be launched at the end of the month, expected to start at 43,000 yuan
Tata is one of the first automakers to launch an electric vehicle (EV) in India. With the success of the Tigor EV and Nexon EV, the company is preparing to launch its third commercial mass-market electric vehicle in India, the Tata Tiago EV.
The launch date for the Tata Tiago EV in India has been announced for September 28th. the Tata Tiago EV is expected to be one of the cheapest electric cars in India.
Tata has not yet announced the specifications of the Tata Tiago EV. However, according to 91mobils, the model uses the same platform and powertrain as the Tigor EV launched in India last year, with a 75bhp and 170Nm torque powertrain, a 26kWh battery and a claimed range of 306km. 25kW DC fast charger can fully charge the car in just 1 hour and 5 minutes.
The Tata Tiago EV is expected to be sold at a bargain price in India, likely between 500,000 and 700,000 rupees (43,000 and 61,000 yuan).
