Steam Deck "Hong Kong Edition" is here! From about $2800
Today, V announced that Steam Deck will be available in even more regions. With the help of Komodo, Steam Deck will be available in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong, China later this year.
In terms of price, the Steam Deck will start at HK$3288 (about $2,827.68) in Hong Kong, NT$13,380 (about $3,023.88) in Taiwan, ¥59,800 (about $3,019.90) in Japan, and KRW589,000 (about $3,303.24) in South Korea. In Japan, it starts at 59,800 yen (about $3,019.9), and in Korea, it starts at 589,000 won (about $3,309.24).
Komodo has just opened its pre-order site: steamdeck.komodo.jp. Customers who have pre-ordered Steam Deck in these regions will be able to start placing orders later this year. The queue is different from the North America / UK / EU region, so the timing of sending order emails to existing sales regions will not be affected by this announcement.
As reported by IT House, the Steam Deck is powered by AMD's Van Gogh APU, which features a Zen2 architecture in the CPU section, with a 4-core form factor of 2.4 GHz to 3.5 GHz. In the GPU section, the Van Gogh APU integrates an 8 CU RDNA2 GPU at 1.0 GHz to 1.6 GHz with 1.6 TFops of performance and FP32. The entire SoC has a TDP of 4 to 15W and supports LPDDR5 memory with 16GB capacity.
Steam Deck is available with 64GB eMMC and 256GB and 512GB NVMe SSDs for $399 (~$2,521.68), $529 (~$3,343.28) and $649 (~$4,101.68) respectively.
