Microsoft Surface Pro 9 revealed: Powered by i5-1235U / i7-1255U, with new blue / green color scheme
Microsoft is working on the Surface Pro 9 2-in-1 device, which is expected to be released within the year and will be available in both Intel and ARM versions.
WinFuture claims to have gotten information from retailers about the Intel version of the Surface Pro 9, with Intel Core i5-1235U and i7-1255U processors.
The Intel Core i5-1235U features a 2+8 design with two large cores of up to 4.4GHz and eight smaller cores of up to 3.3GHz. This processor delivers a 22 percent increase in performance per core compared to the Intel Core i5-1135G7 in Surface Pro 8.
The Intel Core i7-1255U is also 2+8 cores, with a large core up to 4.7 GHz and a small core up to 3.5 GHz. Based on benchmarks, it delivers a 12 percent increase in performance per core compared to the Surface Pro 8's Core i7-1185G7.
The Surface Pro 9 has 16GB of memory and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD onboard, depending on the model, and the screen display has not changed much compared to the previous generation.
The media also said that Microsoft is planning to launch two new colorways for the Surface Pro 9, in addition to the current regular silver and black, there will be a green version called "forest" and a blue version called "sapphire".
The cheapest i5 + 8 GB + 256 GB version of the Surface Pro 9 will cost 1,300 euros (about 9,100 yuan), while the previous generation started at 1,179 euros, so if the news is true, then the new generation of Surface Pro will be more expensive.
In addition, the media said that Surface Laptop 5 will also be launched with the same Core i5-1235U and i7-1255U processor, 13.5-inch version priced from 1200 euros (about 8400 yuan), 15-inch version priced from 1500 euros (about 10500 yuan).
According to previous reports, the ARM version of Surface Pro 9 will be equipped with Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 processor, equipped with 16GB memory, single-core score 1005, multi-core 5574 points.
