Apple to Release iOS 16 Update Next Week to Fix iPhone Paste Permission Pop-ups Too Often, Among Other Problems

Apple said it plans to address the issue in a software update to be released next week, according to The Wall Street Journal. The report notes that the software update will also address the issue of some iPhone 14 Pros freezing after transferring data from another iPhone.

This comes after Apple senior manager Ron Huang responded that pop-ups should not appear every time a user tries to paste. "This is definitely not expected behavior and we will pursue it to the end," Ron Huang added, adding that this behavior has not been seen internally at Apple, but many users experience this frequent pop-up behavior.

Apple did not provide a version number for the upcoming software update, but it is likely to be iOS 16.0.2. Earlier today, an Apple spokesperson confirmed that the update will also address the iPhone 14 Pro Series rear camera shaking in third-party apps like Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram.
