The world's largest: LG's 97-inch OLED TV opens for pre-order, priced at over $200,000

At the recent IFA2022 exhibition in Europe, LG officially launched a 97-inch (about 245 cm diagonal) OLED TV - LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV, model 97G2, which is currently the world's largest OLED TV, the TV today from The TV is available for pre-order in the Korean market from today and will be available on September 21.

LG says the 97G2 TV uses self-emitting OLED technology to provide an immersive viewing experience at a massive size. With the launch of the TV, the company's 2022 OLED TV lineup now covers the full range of 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83, 88 and 97-inch sizes.


LG says the OLED TVs feature self-emitting pixels that can be individually turned on and off "to reproduce perfect blacks, incredible natural colors and infinite contrast. The backlight-free OLED also allows for the creation of unprecedented forms, such as flexible and rollable TVs."


LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV features 4K (3840x2160) resolution and is equipped with the fifth generation AI alpha 9 processor built on LG Electronics' years of accumulated OLED picture and sound quality data, which can classify faces, bodies, objects, text and backgrounds in videos to enhance stereo effects, and can also convert two-channel sound sources into virtual 7.1.2-channel stereo sound. Like other LG OLED TV models, the TV supports both Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos.

The TV is wall-mounted with a gallery design that is in full contact with the wall, enhancing the luxurious and immersive feel of the screen.


The 97-inch LG OLED evo Gallery Edition TV is priced at KRW 39.9 million (approximately Rs. 20.03 million) in Korea.
