ASRock officially launches X670E series motherboards: covering entry to high-end, with a special 20th anniversary model

September 22, 2012 - ASRock Technology today officially announced the AMD X670E series motherboards that support AMD AM5 processors with the latest DDR5 and PCIe Gen5 technologies. The first wave of X670E motherboards include the entry to high-end lineup, and the 20th anniversary special model - X670E Taichi Carrara.

According to ASRock, X670E Taichi is equipped with the most powerful VRM power supply design in the market, 24+2+1 phase Smart Power Stage (SPS) Dr. MOS digital power supply can provide smooth and powerful power to CPUs, and XXL cooling fins and heatpipes can be used to dissipate heat, perfect power supply and cooling module are ready for extreme overclocking.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary, ASRock has put a new coat of X670E Taichi - Carrara Marble, symbolizing the resilience and elegance of the Taichi spirit, and launched the X670E Taichi Carrara 20th anniversary special model. The special part is that a Carrara textured cooling fan will be included with the box so that gamers can have a more thematic feel to their consoles.

The X670E Steel Legend and X670E Pro RS both feature a server-grade 8-layer PCB that maximizes overclockability and helps to dissipate heat from the motherboard, ensuring that the motherboard maintains a relatively low temperature even after long hours of high performance operation. 

Both motherboards are capable of supporting PCIe 5.0 graphics cards and M.2 SSDs, and can support up to 4 M.2 SSDs, allowing users to expand their hard drives at any time. In addition, both motherboards are equipped with Dragon 2.5G network chipset and Wi-Fi 6E chipset, providing the best network connectivity and easier connection to Bluetooth devices.
