There's no word on a Surface Studio 3 or Surface Laptop Studio 2 update, but now a new document released earlier this week by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) details a mysterious "desktop computer" (C3K2043) called Surface-branded product.

This is likely the new Surface Studio 3, as the Surface Go / Pro / Laptop / Book and even Duo all fall under the "portable computer" category in Microsoft's FCC filing. Generally speaking, any device capable of wireless communication must pass FCC certification, and the new Surface Studio is no exception.

The so-called Microsoft Surface Studio 3 has been certified by the FCC and passed its network and quality control tests before being sold in the United States.

Microsoft has been granted short-term confidentiality of documents and important test attachments until February 28, 2023. According to the available documents some smaller details can be seen, such as the network chipset confirming that the device will be equipped with an Intel CPU.

According to one of the documents, the so-called Surface Studio 3 uses an Intel Wi-Fi 6 compatible 802.11ax chip. The chip supports 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, which creates more available channels.

However, we don't know anything about the pricing, hardware specs and other features of the next-generation Surface Studio yet. Previous reports said that Microsoft is working on new accessories for the Surface Studio 3 desktop computer.
