Bombardier announces two two-wheeled electric motorbikes for production in 2024
BRP Pombo, the company that owns the Bombardier Can-Am brand, has announced the launch of two new two-wheeled electric motorbikes that will enter production in 2024, bringing back the two-wheeled motorbike with the Bombardier logo after more than three decades.
The Can-Am Origin and Can-Am Pulse offer two different riding styles, with no official parameters disclosed, but both feature the Rotex E-Power powertrain, which produces "high speed with sufficient horsepower and torque".
BRP says the two electric motorbikes are ideal for beginners and experienced riders looking for a commuter-size electric motorbike or for casual off-road riding.
In a statement provided to foreign media outlet Electrek, BRP president and CEO José Boisjoli said.
BRP is very excited about the return of the Can-Am brand.
We have set out to revive our motorbike heritage and are proud to re-enter the market with the first two models of the all-electric Can-Am motorbike range.
Half a century ago, Can-Am was a smash hit on the track, and today the legend is reborn, in true BRP fashion. We've brought our own electric powerplant to the new motorbikes and created a thrilling riding experience for a whole new generation.
