BYD's pure electric bus wins first order from Spanish bus operator Arriva: equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries, to be delivered in 2023
By 15 Jul,2022
BYD has recently received an order from Spanish bus operator Arriva for 15 electric buses, which are expected to be delivered in 2023 and will be put into operation in Alcorcón, a city southwest of Madrid.
BYD's new order includes 12 12-meter low-floor electric buses and three 13-meter low-entry electric buses, both of which are powered by BYD's new generation of lithium iron phosphate batteries.
BYD said the 13-meter low-entry electric buses, which are entering the Iberian Peninsula for the first time, feature reinforced interiors and are equipped with an intelligent early warning system, which significantly improves vehicle safety. The model will mainly serve a number of intercity routes around Madrid.
